Quality Label

What is the Quality Label?

The Quality Label is a certification that a café or restaurant owner can earn by abiding by a set of quality principles.

Owners who have earned this label are eligible to participate in incentive programs that are regularly offered by Rombouts.

The Competition

There is a special competition for horeca business owners who have earned the Quality Label.

The participants must create two original and creative coffee drinks. Then, an independent and anonymous panel of judges visits all of the participating establishments and gives each one a rating based on various criteria.

The establishment with the highest rating wins a prize.

The winners of the 2007 competition

This year, there were 76 contestants who faced the challenge of the “Quality Label” competition organized by Rombouts. The judges had a very tough time selecting two winners:

Gerdje Verbist, from “2 Wheelers” in Brasschaat, Belgium, who prepared the “The Bosses Coffee”

and Emmanuel Nihon of “l'Arbaletrier” in Visé, Belgium, with his artfully named drink, “Iceboots”.
